October 8-14 is Fire Prevention Week! Here at Little Jewels, we are celebrating our Firefighters and Community Helpers!
That means we had our annual visit from our friendly neighborhood firefighters from the Sadsburyville Fire Company No. 1. Fire Chief Erik gave information for the children to remind grown-ups to replace the batteries on our smoke detectors and to “Plan Two Ways Out”. The children also got to see the Fire Engine 31-1 up close, learning all about the equipment, ask questions and walk through the engine itself! Plus we all got our own firefighter hats 🙂
